Established in 1956, the Davis Park Fire Department has been keeping the people and property of Davis Park, Fire Island safe for 60 years. The Department is currently comprised of approximately 40 dedicated members.
The Saltaire Volunteer Fire Company was incorporated in 1969 as a not-for-profit corporation to provide fire suppression services under contract to the Incorporated Village of Saltaire, and when called upon, to assist neighboring communities. In 1986 the SVFC was the first fire department to provide an ambulance and Emergency Medical Services on Fire Island.
