Saltaire Citizens Association (SCA) has a mission: to enrich the life and improve the welfare of the Saltaire community by sponsoring cultural, recreational and educational activities for residents of all ages, funding endeavors that benefit the community and fostering resident awareness of and participation in civic affairs.
The Saltaire Day Camp is a family tradition, and nearly every kid attends. They make new friends and have a ton of fun. The camp is run by the Village of Saltaire for kids who live here all summer and those who are here for a short time. The camp is open 4th of July through Labor day, from 9AM - 12 Noon Monday-Friday. The finale is the Labor Day Talent Show, not to be missed!

Saltaire was the first incorporated village on Fire Island. Saltaire is a quiet residential community known for its wide boardwalks and family-friendly activities. There are day camps, sports and library programs for children.
The Saltaire Volunteer Fire Company was incorporated in 1969 as a not-for-profit corporation to provide fire suppression services under contract to the Incorporated Village of Saltaire, and when called upon, to assist neighboring communities. In 1986 the SVFC was the first fire department to provide an ambulance and Emergency Medical Services on Fire Island.
